Bell Ringing/Christmas Baskets
For years the Mishawaka Lions Club has provided volunteers to ring bells for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season. Duties include coordinating schedules with the Salvation Army, obtaining volunteers to work one hour shifts, provide the necessary equipment, update volunteers of any schedule changes, keep the Salvation Army informed of coverage times and locations.
The food basket committee is responsible to organize and carry out the MLC program for helping deliver food boxes for the Salvation Army. Duties include delivering the baskets on the morning of the Saturday prior to Christmas at the Battell Center, two senior highrises in Mishawaka, and to Karl King Highrise in South Bend, if time permits.
